Hello, looking for advice on breaking in waterproof boots without losing waterproofness.
Where I live is extremely dry and dusty. When I get new boots, I'll wear them in parts of my off season training regimen to get them broken in before my hunts. All dirt roads and trails. I'll try to get at least 100 miles on a pair before bringing them into the field. A problem I'm running into is that dust is working it's way into the Gortex and compromising it's ability to repel moisture.
Any advice on cleaning or ways to keep the dust out?
