Looking at picking up a waterproof jacket. I don’t hunt in heavy rain often, so this won’t necessarily be a dedicated “rain jacket” but sometimes snow, sleet, light rain etc. I would like solid colors so I can use it outside of hunting as well. Would like to avoid something either very noisy or shiny/reflective. I live and hunt in SW Montana.
I’m looking at the Eddie Bauer cloud cap mountain ops jacket, which I believe is from their first ascent mountaineering line. I’m not sure how breathable that will be while active. There’s not a ton of information on their website, and no reviews. Would this be a decent choice to try out? Are there any other waterproof jackets I should consider under 100 dollars?
