Weird Asolo Fugitive experience

I have run Fugitives for about a year with 0 problems. I have about 100 miles of steep terrain on them.

Last Saturday I went on a hike that was a decent elevation gain (1200 ft) and 5 miles and they tore up my ankles like I’ve never experienced.

I changed nothing and can’t figure out why this happened. Anyone had anything similar?

Thanks!

Same sock set up? Did the boots shrink or get misshapen due to heat or being crushed (like crammed in a tote)? Have you gained or lost significant weight? Changed your daily footwear? Your feet can change just like any part of you and may get stronger or weaker depending on everything else

I’ve had things like this... but honestly it was me. Basically spent a few months not in the boots and not walking mountains. My feet had gotten soft and weak. Once my hobbit feet came back and were conditioned I didn’t have any issues

I have worn them consistently since buying them. Same weight, same darn tough socks. No storage changes.

It baffles me.

So the next question. Crispi summits or Colorado’s?
