Learn from my experience - tip 1 - establish a secure (non-home-address) to ship things to. Tip 2 - have a gun safe in the garage, and one in the house somewhere - this is key, it allows you to move firearms from the truck to the safe in the garage. Even when I am not bringing new guns into the house I 'shuffle' them intentionally, when she is around. This way she is frequently seeing me move guns around, so much so, that she has quit asking 'is that new?'

Tip 2 " New Guns Continued"

1. ALWAYS keep your new firearm boxes...or at least two or three;

2. Order New Gun from store

3. Take empty gun box out in front of Wife...tape it up etc. in front of her,whole time making a big song and dance about the "piece of junk" that has to go back to store on warranty/repair.

4. Take empty box to gun store and place new rifle in box (even better if new gun in box fits in alleged "warranty" box).

5. Return home with old box and new gun proclaiming an easy fix or "doh" my bad user error etc.

6. Enjoy your new purchase hassle free :)
