Muleman, hunt was a bust (partially anyways) never spotted a buck, the moon and weather didn't do me a lot of favors I'm sure. I got some quality time on the mountain though and really refined my kit. I'm extremely disappointed that I never saw a single buck, my expectations were pretty high for a first time mountain hunter and it wasn't the complete backcountry hunt but that was probably for the best given all the gear failure. Home now and already wishing I could be back, feel like the mountain won this battle, coming back next year with a vengeance.

Glad you made it home without incident. If you decide to hunt Northern Utah again reach out. Sounds like you have already learned a lot from the trip. Use your trials to drive you harder for future hunts.
