Looking to apply for some type 6 tags with a buddy and I've narrowed it down to 3 units in western wyoming. Two units would be a mid Nov hunt and one would be Dec/Jan. Public land accessibility is similar and success rates range from 33% to 54%. I don't want to name units publicly, but if anyone's hunted the area for cows and wouldn't mind me asking a few questions, please PM me!
Thanks! Ben.

Hunted the last 4 days of season right before thanksgiving. Found a herd of 10-15 on day three and missed a windy 475 yard cross canyon shot. Tough hunting but had a good time, saw moose and piles of deer every day. Talking to the locals there wasn’t enough snow to push the elk down, yet the snow was deep enough to make high country access difficult. PM me if you want more info.
