What 2-3 calibers would you pick?

Just curious what 2-3 calibers you guys would pick to hunt everything from moose/elk/bear down to deer/antelope and then down to cougars/coyotes?

Bonus: what guns would you select. Seems like most here are high on tikkas

6.5 Creedmoor, 300 Win Mag, 12 Gauge Semi Auto (Beretta A400 Extreme Plus for me). If I'm just having 2 bolt action rifles - they're going to be custom with nice glass. 6.5 Creed would be lighter weight, 300 WM 9-10# Scoped with Brake.

You didn't mention upland, waterfowl, turkey, clays - but threw the Beretta in for that. If you don't want to throw in shotguns, I'd probably take a .223 AR-15 as the third.

I've got two of the three so far, need to look for the 6.5CM at some point.

If we are strictly talking rifles....
.223
7mm-08
7mm mag

Throw in a shotgun for bird shooting and you are all set.

For brands I am partial to Savage have about a dozen of them...no issue and all shoot sub moa with factory hunting loads. Most shoot WELL under MOA.

243, 300 wm, 45-70. My choice
243 covers coyotes to antelope and deer
300 wm covers anything else
45-70 for thick bush from bunnys to bears

I like CRF rifles so anything off a 98 action, but also have had good luck with savage. Marlin for the 45-70 is my choice

My choices would be pretty simple
1. 223 (tikka t3)
2. 270 win (tikka SS)
3. 300 WM (LAW Professional)

you could sub a 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08, or even 6.5 PRC for the 270 win. I’ve just had continued success with the 270 so it’s my personal pick.

Hard to argue with that.

The only 2 I have: a 243 winchester and a 30-06. My 30-06 is for everything. I will only change bullets game dependent.

.300 Win Mag Ruger M77 Mk2 rebuilt into a 7lb package.
6" Ruger Blackhawk in .454 Casull by John Gallagher.
Last would be a Remington 40X in .243 Winchester.

And my bow. Rifle hunting gets boring sometimes.

Not very imaginative but 30-06, JC Higgins mod 52 and Win. mod 70, just change bullet weights as needed.
7mm08 Mossberg Patriot for the grandkids.
12 ga Remington 11-87 and 20 ga Remington 870 shotguns.
