I was told all the Dems were screaming it, but I guess not. Oh well.

I don't think anybody said that the Dems were screaming about the China ban being racist. The Dems did scream about a lot of other things. I'm sorry you chose to identify with the Dems....

Just read this:

Seems to be one of the most honest looks at the statistics. Cites sources, acknowledges bias in media reporting, etc. Some interesting looks at the data that I hadn’t considered yet. Written by a data analyst.

Yes, it’s about a month old. I just read it, and while some of the data isn’t fresh, it opened my mind to how to interpret some data in more accurate and understandable ways.
This was cool thanks for sharing. I would love to see what the guys says and what this shows with updated data.

It is not a discussion on CNN. How convenient of them and others to exercise their liberal privilege and overlook all of the major miss-steps on the left. Here are just a few that a dumb arse like me has noticed:

->Fauci telling 60 Minutes that there is no reason for Americans to wear masks. Now he admits he was intentionally misleading the public. He even made the case that masks were dangerous. But hey, we can believe him today, honest.
-> In late Feb Fauci said that there is no reason for Americans to change any of their normal behaviors.
->NY Gov Blasio telling New Yorkers to go out on the town:
"Since I’m encouraging New Yorkers to go on with your lives + get out on the town despite Coronavirus, I thought I would offer some suggestions. Here’s the first: thru Thurs 3/5 go see “The Traitor” @FilmLinc. If “The Wire” was a true story + set in Italy, it would be this film."

— Bill de Blasio (@BilldeBlasio) March 3, 2020
That was a tweet that he sent out. Too bad Twitter didn't censor that one eh? Two weeks later he was pissing his pants and blaming Trump for NY's problems.

->NY Gov Cuomo mandating that elderly Covid patients be sent back into nursing homes. (More than half of the 30K deaths in NY took place in care homes.) Talk about liberal privilege with that dude. He has been the chosen one by the media while Gov Abbot is getting kicked in the nuts with 3,000 deaths in Texas. Maybe we should not have cancelled school so quickly, last time I checked 30,000 dead people were more than 3,000 dead people. 30,000 dead people > 3,000 dead people

-> Not done with Cuomo yet. In 2015 he was told that he did not have enough ventilators for a pandemic and was 16,000 short. Instead of making that purchase he had a task force create draft rules for rationing the ventilators they already had. He then spent $750 mill on a green project that went bust. Fast forward to 2020 and Trump saved his ass with ventilators. So much so that I am sick of hearing about it.

-> Pelosi telling Californians to make sure to go to China Town in San Fran to shop and support the folks there after Trump limited travel from China, because you know that was so racist. In fact she was there with a crowd and had a press conference. No masks or social distancing of course. But that was before she bent a knee....

-> The media and multiple govs and mayors supporting protests as well as riots because well, it was more important than Covid. (They said that.) Then a couple weeks after said protests, blaming the increase in cases on red states who opened up some 6 weeks earlier because everyone with any common sense knows that Covid avoids protests were there is no social distancing and people are yelling and screaming in close proximity. More liberal privilege.

-> The WHO screwing this up from the get go and the flip flopping on everything. Just a couple examples:
WHO stands by recommendation to not wear masks if you are not sick or not caring for someone who is sick- This was a CNN headline.
The WHO telling the world that Covid was not transferable from person to person.
The WHO accusing Trumps travel restrictions from China as racists and not necessary.

The Media's many headlines early on:
Vox: This Isn’t A Deadly Pandemic
Washington Post: Coronavirus Isn’t So Scary

Washington Post: The Flu Is Worse Than Coronavirus-hard to believe they used the F-word in a headline!
New York Times: Fear Spreads Faster Than Coronavirus
CNN: Racist Attacks Are More Threatening Than Coronavirus-
In response to limiting travel from China.

You CNN fanboys and Trump haters are so right. This is all Trump's fault. If only he had the military build extra hospitals, sent Navy medical ships to assist the west and east coast, somehow managed to convince manufacturers to retool and drop more ventilators in a few months than had ever been previously manufactured in years. If only he removed some of the red tape so that a vaccine and therapeutics could be created faster. If only he had been the first world leader to limit travel from China. I cannot believe that the left had this from the get go and that Trump completely dropped the ball. I need to get going now so I can watch the Cuomo brothers on CNN talk about their bro romance and how good of a job was done in NY with 30,000 people dead from Covid.

The irony is, I would probably have voted for trump....until this Covid disaster.
And, I don’t ever watch cnn(or any other news)
I don’t hate trump, but his actions make it difficult not to sometimes.

All that effort to suit your agendas....
Now step out of your box, and make a similar list but of all of the fumbling and botching. I know you can, those aspects are as easy to find as all the ones you’ve already posted.

Being in the medical field and having went through many epidemics or pandemics, I think how the Trump admin has responded to Covid has been the best fed govt support that i have ever seen to the states and county medical dept's in allowing them to react to this, especially given the limitations of our system resulting from prior administrations, the general bureaucracy that is the CDC, the general complacency at all levels of medical care here and abroad after prior viral scares ended up being much less than anticipated, with China making much of our medical supplies and medicines, the complete politicization of this virus with media and politicians becoming more freaked out even while we were learning about how this was much less severe than initially feared, the pr and leadership portion of the WHO being at odds with its own scientists, the limitations assoc with the media purposefully trying to create division and manipulate any messages coming out of the fed govt or from early research of limited value, the unique details of this new virus, the political games being played by governors, the contrarian completely useless & spineless democrats and rhinos in govt, etc.

Just a couple of points. While Trump was considering a travel ban, back when the WHO still felt that person to person transmission was unlikely, progressive media outlets were concerned about the consequences to the economy of such a potentially unwaranted action at such an early stage.

Americans coming back from China were funneled through certain airports and sea ports, screened, and then quarantined. When have we ever seen that before at the federal level, especially on that scale?

Many of you probably have zero idea about all of the federal emergency measures that have been taken, such as with for example medical funding that the Trump admin/CMS took early on so that county health departments could use various non-hospital uncertified facilities for covid treatment and isolation, and still get reimbursed. But then it is up to each community of course to develop a plan based upon their unique situations/resources and not have their governors work against them.

Many probably also don't know that in 2009, despite the federal stockpile, despite that H1N1 was just a flu virus that we know much more about treating and testing for, and despite that we had 6 months of warning from the southern hemisphere, we still had a mask shortage, and we also had no vaccine when it hit the US in the fall 2009.
And despite that it was more dangerous to young people than it was for older people and more dangerous to young people than covid it looks like for that matter, schools were still kept open and young people just got the disease in October 2009.

Perhaps you would be so kind as to compile a partial list if there is so much evidence.
Don't forget that it isn't Trump's job to make a vaccine; so CDC gets the blame for the wacky tests.
Dont forget that Trump couldn't give Cuomo something he didn't have (ventilators) and Cuomo didn't use all the ones he had.
Trump never told ANYBODY to drink fishbowl cleaner. If people were stupid enough to drink an unmeasured amount of non-medical-grade chemical, that's there problem.
Fauci himself said that masks aren't necessary and said they are more likely to spread COVID-19 than prevent it, so you'd better not bash Trump for not wearing one.
Trump never told people to drink chlorine or swallow some sunshine. (But there are actually some studies that seem to support the theory that sunlight kills COVID.
And don't bash Trump for advocating hydroxycloroquine because some recent studies indicate that it DOES help. (And no, it doesn't kill every other person that takes it. It has been in uncontested widespread use for years to help with malaria).

THIS IS JUST A FEW OF THE THINGS A LOT OF TRUMP HATERS GET WRONG, SO I'M JUST TRYING TO HELP YOU NOT TO POST SOME OF THIS COMMON FAKE NEWS.

I do not need to go looking for Trumps imperfections. They are on the news every day, often the lead headlines no matter how accurate or true, all the while completely ignoring any real news in the country. I am also not a Trump fan boy. I did not vote for him in the last election. I did not vote for Bill's #metoo gal either. I wrote in another candidate. This time around it is a no brainer. Trump has my vote because I kinda like my country and do not want to turn it over to haters, socialist, and politicians that are willing to throw my freedoms under the bus at the drop of a hat. Look at cities under liberal leadership full of hate, no regard for the rule of law, anarchy, and bankrupt. Is that what you want America to look like? No I will vote for the preservation of the 2A, my rights to hunt, etc.

But back to Covid. Has Trump been perfect on it? Nope. Did China and the WHO screw the world over with misinformation and lies. Yup. Did experts base the initial reaction on that bad intel. Yup. Was Trump called out on it. Yup, everyday all day. Was ANYONE else EVER called out on it, especially Cuomo with over 30,000 dead on his state, or the dude who should have seen it coming, Fauci? HELL NO!. Is there complete bias in the press. HELL YES! Democrats, liberals, BLM, they all get a pass while anyone with an R after their name gets nailed to the wall. And there is your liberal privilege. The media used to kinda hide it, but all of THEIR hate is right out in the open now. The news is nothing but liberal opinions and agenda. Kinda funny that they call out Trump for being divisive and hateful. Go to any social media app and post that you feel like all human beings, matter, no matter their race. Or post that you are a white dude that is not going to vote for Biden. Or post that you are a black dude who is a police officer. Do any of those things and you will see hate and divisiveness. The left and the media OWN that, not Trump.

All leaders should be held accountable for their administration. CDC is under the HHS and thus under executive.
And developing a test/vaccine to detect a novel virus isn't going to be a slam dunk out of the gate.

Dont forget that Trump couldn't give Cuomo something he didn't have (ventilators) and Cuomo didn't use all the ones he had.

Fauci himself said that masks aren't necessary and said they are more likely to spread COVID-19 than prevent it, so you'd better not bash Trump for not wearing one.

That is the video from March 8th, and the widespread nature of the virus wasn't fully understood. He is actually saying that use of masks only leads to people touching their faces more often and takes away from the supply needed healthcare areas.

Your other points I agree with. He can not be blamed for people doing stupid shit and taking his words out of context. But he is the president and his words carry weight. And he doesn't seem to understand or care about that fact.

Has he done an absolutely terrible job, no. But don't tell me you think it's really been that stellar.

Tried and couldn’t make a list. I’ve seen people try and make a list on other forums also and they failed as it was pretty much all bias left media and easily discredited.

The herd immunity theory isn't looking good.

Sent from my F1 using Tapatalk

Mr. Durango, please explain to us how you come to this conclusion. Here are a few points that you may want to consider before you explain this. First, do you realize that this study was from data collected over 2 months ago? Second, do you realize that antibodies take a couple of weeks to show up after infection, so that this study then only collected potential infection contracted between late February and early to mid April? And third, the herd immunity concept is not an exact number but a continuum. So the amount of immunity needed to completely wipe out an infection, is not the same as that which is needed to substantially limit an infection, and will vary sometimes between different populations. Fourth, I must assume that you are considering this limited data in the context of other studies which are more thorough and more recent, showing higher infection rates...have they not?

And Mr. Hog, if you are not being sarcastic (or anyone else for that matter), can you please explain how the CDC has failed us, and how other health agencies around the world have failed us. I think this is worthy of critique, but it is hard to see where you are coming from without any details. Additionally, has the CDC failed us for the past 40 years when it comes to the flu virus, as well as other viruses? If so, please explain how you would do things differently. Also, please in your explanation, tell us how specifically the CDC failed state and local agencies who actually provide medical and epidemiological services to the public. I am not in all of these meetings locally, but get the weekly briefs and bulletins in my locality, and that is something that I was not aware of being a major issue.

The study, published July 6th and tested more than 60,000 people, and tested each of those people 3 seperate times throughout the study. Do you have a study more recent and more thorough you'd like to share?

Covid hit Spain very hard and early peaking in Mid march and tapering off through April (see the daily cases graph attached). They started testing April 27-May 11. So that would give all those enough time to create antibodies?

Of course i understand that the % it takes to slow the infection vs eliminate it are different. estimates for eliminating it completely are that a population would need to have 70-90% positive with antibodies. And the percent to slow it would be anywhere less than that. But the study finding only 5% is extremely low.

What i found additionally interesting was that some who tested positive for antibodies lost them over the course of the study in just a couple weeks. Ive seen this in some other studies as well. So it seams likely that you can loose the antibodies over time.

For the media slave out there, no need to worry anymore, these are sold at your local Walmart. Enjoy the world from your bubble any place you want to go. Give everyone sneering eyes in the comfort of your own weather tent. Wear your custom mask for double protection while you save the world you superhero. Soon they may even retrofit a fart filter for it. Bubble up on a Friday night next to a your date of similar interests as you blow kisses to each other from the security of your own personal atmosphere.

Yeah I'm sharing new research and things were learning daily about a new virus, cause my mind is made up.
