What chest binos do you run? Western hunters only.

I had cheaper 8X Nikons and switched to Zeiss Conquest HD 10X42. Going to 10X was a mistake so I recently upgraded to 8x42 SLCs and am very happy with my decision.

I've run a handful of different sizes but fell back to 10x42. I would consider 12x50 if I could afford ELs.

Larger objective to gather light and mag is not so high that shake becomes an issue, at least for me.

What are you glassing? To me that makes a difference. Just spotting elk, one handed is easy with most glass, even on the move. If you’re trying to find bedded deer or even javelina in AZ. I personally use my binos on a tripod. Just my opinion.

12x50el and swaro 65 spotter. In AZ we don’t have a lot of water so rather than have three sets of optics I choose to use the 12s as a compromise and carry an extra nalgene.

I have Leupold BX4 pro guide in 10x32 and 12x50 at 17 oz and 28 oz respectively, but prefer my Leica ultravid 10x42 at 24.5 oz. Better optically for me than the 12x50 Leupolds and enough lighter that they are easier to hold. Some of the ultravids have rubber armoring instead of the leather on mine, and they weigh a couple ounces more. The Leicas are shorter than the 12x50s and seem better to hold with my worn out shoulders.

I just bought a pair of 12x50 Razor UHDs and love them great in all light conditions. I usually run them on a tripod but if I spot something close enough I usually just glass with a range finder so 12 magnification is best for me.

12x50 vipers will be my only glass other than my rangefinder. Just set up my tripod if I need to pick the hills apart.

10x42 Meopta Meostars. They work well in the hand for most hunts, and even better off a tripod if the hunt calls for it. Sure, 12's or 15's would be better on the tripod, but for one all-around bino this works well for me

Was wondering what size chest binos do you run? I've tried 12x50 but cannot seem to hold them without shaking and lose field of view. I can't get away from 10x42. I want to be able to run and gun pull them out 1 handed glassing quick hand holding. I'll throw them on the tripod when I can but love my 15x56 for long glassing. I can really pick apart the landscape with those 15's see into brush. What are your thought??

I own them all but i constantly find myself going with my leica ultravid HD + 12x50's.

Maven B2 9x45 on my chest. Only thing I could see myself swapping them out for would be an SLC. I’ll upgrade my 15x58 Minox binos before the mavens. Both have studs for tripod use.

I used to run 10 on chest with 15s in pack. I noticed I never used my 10s I was alway in my 15s I eventually decided to switch to 12s and when I really need the backup I pull out the spotter.
