I've been building up preference points in Colorado for the standard big game species (deer, elk, pronghorn) and Mountain Goat. I think I'll have 12 points for the 2014 draw for them all. I've never actually put in for a Goat tag since I spend most of my fall hunting birds but the next two years are the years to burn my points. I've got plenty of time to start looking but I'm getting excited about all the various game I can hunt and the earliest is well over a year away!
What areas should I be investigating? I don't necessarily care about a billy vs a nanny and I assume a nanny is an easier tag to draw. I'm figuring this will be my only Goat hunt but I also want to be successful. I'll hunt with either a recurve or a rifle, I don't care which.
