What do you cats carry in your hunting pack for processing/tracking big game critters? If memory serves, this is what I have:

Knives/Saws: Older model Gerber Gator 5.5” fixed blade (or sometimes one of my custom knifes, if not hiking too far that day an I’m being wimpy about the weight); Outdoor Edge Razor-Pro with a few extra blades; SOG folding saw if deer hunting (to cut top knot off), and/or Wyoming Saw 1 (the smaller model, 11” I think) for elk.
Game bags: VIAM Outdoors (I have four of the large bags for boned out elk meat and two smaller bags for the loins/straps).
Other items: Container of chili powder; small spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide; ½ roll orange surveyors tape; 5x7 sheet of plastic to lay chunks of meat on as they come off the critter; 100’ of quality para cord; two pairs of latex gloves; two commercial grade plastic sacks; compact pull through knife sharpener (for Gerber if needed and BH’s); and one or two chem lights.

Please, share what you have in your kill kit. Just trying to spark some elky conversation during the long off season :).

Fixed blade knife, replaceable blade knife with extra blades. I don't normally carry a saw, just take quarters off pelvis at hip joint. I might rethink this.

Size and number of game bags determined by elk, deer, or antelope.

Two large contracted bags and some para chord.

Kill kit has the following:

Havalon always/possibly a different knife too
50' reflective paracord
A few pairs of rubber gloves
Tag/license
Orange tape
Kifaru meat bag.
Zip ties
Bandaids
A few wet wipes if I can get some

The game bags i carry depend on what I'm hunting.

6 21x34 carabou gear game bags, 30 ft paracord, and 2 trash bags all vacuum sealed in an 11 inch wide bag. The bag ends up being a little over 1/4 inch thick and slides into the wadder bladder sleeve in my pack with the water.

I also have a small folding saw in my pack, and a Havalon knife with 5 extra blades. T

I’ve got two of them. Both are 15016’s. One stays in my kit and the other in my deer hunting stuff. I like them personally. Fits my hand really well ( short fat fingers) and stays sharp. Great skinning knife.
