Going to buy a new spotter this year and having a hard time finding a vendor that has the Athlon Ares 65mm 45 degree spotter in stock so that I can look at one. I'm in SC now but heading to Alabama in early Jan for a Quail hunt so any vendors between Charleston and Montgomery that stock these would be great. If not I'll be heading back to UNY in the spring and use the I 95 corridor to the I 81 up to Syracuse, I tried the Athlon dealer finder and none have stocked the spotters. Also would love to look thru a Maven CS 1 but they have no dealer net work and they don't open demo the 65mm scopes. Any Ideas are welcomed. Have looked at the Leupold Sx-4 and Vortex units already. Will use at the range and Elk hunting and will be carrying in my pack along with a tripod.
