Nice finds! My best day this year was 8. Most of the bulls were still wearing their antlers and there aren't many deer in my area. I haven't been out since before turkey season but may poke around a bit the next couple weekends.

Nice looking sheds! Grass is getting taller in my area, making them harder and harder to find. Did you train your dog to find them?!

Yes the dog is trained I bought her when she was 8 weeks old and trained her myself. It was tough but she turned into an excellent shed dog. She's a smooth coat border collie.

Bowhunt3r208, any tips for training a shed dog? I just got a 8 week old golden retriever pup. I thought about doing the shed thing with here. I don't bird hunt but want a dog to hike and enjoy the outdoors with. So shed hunting would fill sometime for both of us.

I can say it was tough but I didn't give my dog any types of toys or anything besides antlers. Taught her by playing fetch with a praise and treat everytime she brought it back. Then moved on to throwing it in places around the yard and letting her go find it. Then I just kept making it harder to find. She's addicted to sheds you throw dog toys all over the yard and have one shed out there she will pick up the shed every time. Start with a small shed because if they get poked in the eye they tend to be shed shy. Progress to bigger stuff as they get older.
