We purchased a Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI in fall 2006 to use in our landscape tree business and for snow plowing our 800 foot driveway. It has been flawless in the 13 years we've used it - couldn't ask for a better machine for our purposes (maneuvering in tight spaces while pulling a 300# tree on a sled). I did look at Honda's as well but chose the Polaris for features and value (end of year sale clearance sale). Oh, and I do all of my preventive maintenance faithfully (oil changes, gear oil changes, filters, plugs, drive belt, etc.). Hope this helps...

I have a Rancher 420 Manual shift , only complaint is the solid rear axel feels like itll bounce ya to death at times. Never once have I wished I had an automatic. No complaints on the wheeler . See alot more older Hondas around farms here than any other brand for a reason .
