Who do you believe

I am currently watching fire restriction orders in the area I'm hunting in Montana. Who do you guys follow for the most current rules.

I called the ranger station for the NF I plan on hunting and they told me one thing. Call a different ranger station and they tell me something different. Email the ranger station (first called) and she tells me something different than on the phone.

Check a "link" from the NF website and they say the same as the second person I contacted.

What gives?

I just call the local station. Better just go to Colorado. I hear it's wet there and they don't have the grizzlies like we do.

USFS Ranger District office is the best source, and their website should post the latest fire restrictions for each part of the Ranger District.

Ask to speak with the district ranger. That’s the boss and will know the rules. Fire restrictions are changing all across Montana right now, so that may be why you’re hearing different things.
