Who knows the feeling?

The only time I ever tripled on blue-winged teal, I simply waded right into the pond with no regard for the water in my tall rubber boots. I was too happy to care. But those were bluewings in September. If it had been greenwings in December it might have been different.

Sometimes I’ve thought about bringing a fishing rod with a top water lure with treble hooks for those no wind days
What’s super funny, is I actually shot him right on the edge and before I could get to him, the wind blew him in the middle… then cut out. Stared at him for 10-15 min hoping the wind would pick up again before accepting my fate.

Have definitely considered the top water plug. Might look into rigging up a compact hand reel with one.

And that's when you started looking for a dog. ...
I’ve definitely been looking. Wife’s allergic and a clean freak, and we spend a good bit of time in a trailer. Under 30lbs, hypoallergenic, non shedding is a hard combo for a sporting dog.

This thread has me looking hard at a Teckel. ....

Look into allergen immunotherapy for her. My wife used to be extremely allergic to any and every dog (even the “hypoallergenic” breeds). Now my chessie sleeps in the bed with her.
