Just played weekend warrior this past weekend, and after spending about 10 minutes in a tree, we were able to score this little guy. Every now and then even a blind squirrel finds an acorn.

Got it done on the 6th then my cousin got his on the 12th. Got out a few days early but now hanging in Anchorage as there are no earlier flights available. Lifetime dream come true

Just finished hunting the Delta management area on the tag I drew. Overall it appears moose numbers are way down due to winterkill. Spent 8 nights, I saw two legal bulls and couldn't get a shot at either as they were out of range. I also saw two 40 inchers and about 10 cows. Came across 4 winterkills. I am hearing the same from others, that numbers are down at least in the Interior where the snow was deep and covered with 2 inches of ice from freezing rain. Moose were postholing and wolves could run on top.

Been thinking about doing a Yukon float hunt for several years. Looking at all these pictures is not helping! What outfitters have you guys had good experiences with?

Flew out on the 8th. Bedded this guy on the morning of the 10th. Made the 600 yard sneak and my hunting partner was able to make the chip shot.

We were waiting out terrible weather on the afternoon of the 11th and heard this guy in the water. Waited until he was in a good spot and couldn't resist a 10 yard pack job.

Weather was absolutely terrible for moose hunting and it looks like the last 7 days have been more of the same. Warm and wet, but the worst is the wind. I think it blew at least 30mph from every direction while we were out. At one point, had a 40 inch bull raking 30 yards from us and couldn't hear him.

It's interesting to see them next to each other. You can tell which is a more "mature" animal based on the fronts.

That's good stuff! Not knocking either one, but in the last pic the one closest to the camera is a different caliber of animal.
