wiggys waders and socks

i am thinking about getting a pair of these to avoid getting soaked,for those who have used them , are they a worthy investment? and the lamilite socks, can these be used for hiking without getting blisters?
i've got one of his bags that i really like, heavy,bulky but sure is warm.
