I’ll be headed to the Wind River Range for a backpacking, fishing and camping trip with my 12 yr old daughter. Won’t be doing any fly fishing but fishing on some lakes with some spinners and spoons.

which trails and lakes would you recommend? Snow line is probably still sitting around 10k ft so I’ll be taking the lower trails.

Snow line is lower than that. Its stil around 8000 in the Tetons depending on terrain features. Also just got some fresh snow, which will melt quickly with the nice weather coming. A lot of great places in the winds, just pick a trail head that gets you to a lake in an amount of mileage your looking for and hit it.

I agree, snow line is lower then that. I tried to take a hike up in the Wyoming range last week and ran into serious snow in draws even at 8500 ft. South facing wind sweep ridges are open. It’s a little early yet for serious hiking.
