One point that I was thinking of was the tripod handle for anyone that uses it towards you, as opposed to away, the natural orientation is the left hand. However, for me, I like to have the handle in front not behind my glass so it's a natural right-hand operation for me.

Another win on this pan head.

I'm only pushing NL's and a 49oz 65 ATS so I think this baby might be a winner based on the other feedback I've heard with the weight limits.

I pulled the trigger and ordered the head last week. Work and home life has kept me from getting up the week. I'll get out this week and put it to use and report back with findings. It is nicely built and definitely light!

Got one last week and really like it so far, I’m using it with a Kowa 774 and would definitely say this is the top end, weight wise. For comparison, I too have had the outdoorsman’s micro pan head and would say the nighthawk is a decent step up in performance but I’m curious as to how it stacks up against the outdoorsman’s standard pan head ? Anyone had both ?
