I took the family to Adirondacks this week. We did around 20 miles with 5,000' of gain and lots of scrambling in three and a half days, bagging five high peaks (upper wolfjaw, armstrong, gothics, saddleback, and basin.) Rainy weather the last day made us decide not to climb Mt. Marcy, but we still had a great family adventure. My pack started out at 65# and finished at 47#.DSC01438.JPGDSC01484.JPGDSC01472.JPG

^ take the day off, you’ve earned it :D

I was up at 4:00 but the air quality was very poor (smoke) so had to pass on the trails :(
I tried to redeem myself a little at work with no hike this morning 5-ish miles and 48 flights of stairs, not trail miles, but miles anyways

got screwed out of my morning trails with the smoke again; my co-workers are giving me funny looks but managed just under 6 miles and 54 flights of stairs- I don't miss too many days on the trails and very rarely two days- so hopefully tomorrow
