WY deer region Q advice. Father/son trip.

My old man just retired and we’re going to go out west for a week in October and try and find a buck. Looking for any advice I can get without burning out anything precious to you and yours. Possible places to stay whether it be a little cabin/campsite/ or even a hotel would also be a place. We will be flying in and renting a vehicle. Never been here before but we’re excited to see the landscape and hopefully look at some animals. Thanks a lot.

Congrats on the tag! Not much for hotels out in that country, unless you can find something in Jeffrey City...though doesn't look like anyone has stayed in a motel there for a while.

Some places to camp along the Sweetwater, but you got to make sure you stay on BLM, not State Lands. Always a safe bet to go up onto Green Mountain or Crooks Mountain to find some timber camping. Mostly BLM lands up there.

Don't forget to check in your bucks! They're trying to get CWD samples.
