Numbers sure seem down from what I remember the last time I hunted the unit but still plenty to pick thru. Used an ancient Pre 64 MDL 70 Featherweight and vintage Weatherby scope chambered in 243. After a nice stalk I was able to get 345 yards and make the shot. 95 grain Berger VLD did its job.

Love that gun! Had. 270 standard weight pre-64 growing up. Can’t find a better action out there IMO.

We hunted it in 2018, which was my first time antelope hunting. I know things have changed somewhat with numbers in that unit, but we found the info on the wy game and fish website to be accurate and plenty specific to have a great hunt without any major surprises, even with us showing up blind and clueless. Not to be un-helpful, but I really don't think it's the type of place where any new info will change much of anything for you or tell you anything that a couple hours drive through the unit wont reveal. It's a pretty place with the reservoir and the river there, we had a fun hunt--you should be psyched. Biggest piece of advice is don't forget your fishing gear, that is one awesome stretch of river through that whole region.
