Looks like last years resident sheep draws were about 1% for non-point draws in wilderness areas and .2-.05 for the Bighorns.

With 90/10 the law of the land. How will that shake out for non point holders?

Noticed there were wilderness outfitters wanting $14000 for a Wyoming guide fee for sheep in the Buffalo Thorofare.

I would guess that I could just ball park it and double the odds. But I don't know if that is right or not.

Guess I don't understand what difference the odds make. You either apply or don't apply.

The small number of tags being moved from the non-resident WY sheep bucket (cut in half, yes?) will cut NR odds in half. What does that mean? If you as a NR had 1 in 400 odds with 20/80 then is 1 in 800 with 10/90. NR have 1 tag for every 2 they previously were allowed.

Those tags now land in the relatively larger bucket but has a much smaller impact on R odds. R odds do not double since the R had 8 of 10 tags before under 80/20 and now get 1 more tag for every 8 under 90/10 so odds increase 12.5%. What does that mean? If you had 1% in the Bighorns under 80/20 then now you have 1.13%. Yes, your odds went from 10 in 1000 to 11.3 in 1000.

Cool, huh? Not much improvement for R that will result in you or your extended family hunting sheep every decade or so. Huge negative impact on NR. Your state. Your wildlife. Kick anyone in the nuts you want but at the end of the day we all know there are not enough sheep to meet demand even if R keep 100% of the tags.

Here is the deal. In WA, there is no cap for NR on sheep tags. We will fix that.

Don't call WA when your forests are burning since I want to keep 100% of our water air tankers and firefighters for those of us paying taxes here in WA. Improves my odds a bit my house does not burn down. Not much improvement but, hey, a little bit helps, right?

Same for the next drought and are short on hay.

Stop sending your kids to our medical schools, too. I pay the taxes here so our professional schools should be 100% WA kids. Fair is fair and we all should only get the fruits of being a R in our state. We should cap camping spots in our parks for NR.

Hooray for provincialism.
