Wyoming area 28.

I’m looking at applying for a mule deer tag for area 28. I was in that area around crazy woman canyon back about 10 years ago. Knew some people that had some land that joined national forest in that area. It was during July when I was in there and seen several nice bucks. They have sold the land since then. If I drew a tag I would more than likely start in that area. But I know things can change in 10 years. Anyone ever hunted the area? And also would it be possible for me to draw a tag with no preference points? I’m new to the whole preference points thing. Not really sure how all that works. Thanks.

Can’t give you any help on 28, but as far as understanding points in each state including Wyoming, there is tons of info on this forum already posted. Use the rokslide search tool to start your research. Also Wyoming fish and wildlife website gives you drawing odds on every unit and hunt in the state. Hope someone gets you specifics on 28.
