Wyoming Packer

Hey everyone, I’m planning an archery hunt in the salt river range in Wyoming this year or next. I’m not opposed to packing an elk out myself, but I will be solo. For one thing I don’t want being solo determine what distances I can hunt. I want to be able to chase bugles and hunt elk where the elk are. Also if it is warm I wouldn’t want to lose any meat. Therefore I’m wondering if anyone knows of a reputable packer in that range, maybe around Afton or towns north or south of that area. I appreciate any input. You can pm me to discuss details. Outfitters operate within their area so find out who’s guiding in your area. If you want PM me and I can probably tell you who is the closest.

Plan well ahead. Personally I’d offer them a non refundable deposit if you really hope for an outfitter to prioritize you when he has clients. Do you know anything about horses yourself?
