Wyoming nonresident can you just apply for the doe tag or do,you have to apply for the doe or buck. I was thinking of applying for the doe tag for me and have my son apply for buck/doe

Yes , you can just apply for doe and your son could go the Type 1 route. I would apply for a doe license for the son also. Not much meat on any antelope and doe/fawn are not expensive licenses.

The doe/fawn draw is separate from the Any Antelope draw and is purely random. You do not have to make any other applications.

If you look at the drawing odds for the units with good public access you will see that doe/fawn tags can be tough to draw in some areas. It is not like it used to be.

I did doe tags only and regretted not having a buck tag due to the opportunities i had. Had 2 opps on does and shot 2, had >6 opportunities on bucks. Gonna head back in a few years once I have enough points.

If you can afford it, apply both of you for buck and doe tags.
