Just about to scoop up a Rem 700 .308 LTR. Looking at using it as a dedicated go to Tactical long gun. Now with that being said, I will still for sure use it on some hunts, Especially eastern hunts in Appalachian settings. I have an MDT chassis .300 Weatherby, im in love with that, what say the slide?

I owned a LTR some years back. The factory stock feels pretty darn good, IMO. I did skim bed it and bed the lug. I shot several prs style matches with it as well. If I were to use one for hunting, I'd keep it stock. Check it out first, you may be surprised.

Saw a MacMillan not too long ago and it's pretty solid, I'm looking forward to owning one.
