This doe has been hanging out in my backyard for for the last 3-4 years. Her earings are #24 tags put on by our DNR for CWD deer monitoring in 2017. She had a gps collar on 2017-2019, which fell in the spring 2019 sometime. I emailed this picture to the DNR about 4 weeks ago and asked for info about #24. They told me she is a 5.5 year old that has lived in approximately the same 3 square miles during the time the collar was on. When they first collared the deer there were 2 other does, #22 and #23 that hung around until mid-2018 and then disappeared, The other 2 were adult does, 2.5+ when they were tagged and collared.

I have somewhat of a deer. About a month ago I thought the ANTIFA were breaking into my house at 3am. I jumped out of bed with the excitement of a kid that just heard Santa! The banging at the front of my house continued as I moved through the house with my EDC and tac light ready. I saw movement through the blurred front door window so I slowly moved to the picture window ready to start the party! I flipped on the high beams expecting to see a confused green-haired they/them. To my disappointment it was just a neighborhood youngster eating the jack-o-lanterns off the front steps.

In all seriousness, it sounded like someone trying to break in and it was great real-time, real-emotion practice in protecting my home and family.

Two different bulls stopped by yesterday afternoon. They hung out in the yard for about a half hour. When they were both standing next to each other about 10 yds from my back door I made some grunts to get them to look for a picture. It confused the smaller bull who must still have some post-rut T pumping in him. He immediately started challenging the bigger bull. They pushed each around in the back yard for about 10 minutes and I got some really neat video.

The bigger bull was annoyed and kept trying to walk away but the small guy would jab him in the side and it was back on. I was really hoping to see some antlers drop!
