Yolla Bolly Fires

Looks like there's two fires burning in the yb's right now. Not sure how it will effect access for the upcoming season, if at all. As of now they ask that hikers stay out of wrights and bucks ridge areas. https://inciweb.nwcg.gov/incident/6394/

Hopefully they get a handle on them. I look forward to backpack hunting in the Yolla Bolly's each year. We've had a few trips cut short due to fire being too close. Seems like it's the new norm.

The fire is only a couple hundred acres as of now....doubt its as much of an issue as the horribly low deer numbers in there.

Fire is extremely beneficial for deer habitat so it's actually unfortunate that it was only a small one. It's too bad we don't let fires burn in the remote wilderness areas like some other states do.
