You ever seen an 80 "INCH PLUS" Moose Rack......???

Let me ask a question: I'm going to be going for a meat hunt instead of a trophy hunt. At what size does the meat lose it's "tenderness"? IOW, is it better to shoot a 40" than a 60"?
agree with the other poster that it really can depend on the age of the moose and also where they live.
I shot a 52 incher in British Columbia that lived in the mountains. Turned out very tough. I think he was older and regressing.

I got half of an 80" moose. If I remember correctly from center line to outside of the uninjured side was 40" plus, however the damaged side was much smaller brought him down to 70" overall. Still one heck of a bull and a trophy in my book. JLQM3391 (1).JPG
