I had an issue with the focus wheel on my Zeiss Binoculars. Filled out their online repair form. Sent them in on 12-31, they show back up today. Three working days!! I’m IMPRESSED.

Great to hear, and makes my decision of buying these binos in the 10x54 even\ easier.

Have you had a chance to personally test the custom on-board ballistics at some decent yardages (600-800)? I've seen some reviews here and there with some pretty promising results. Wondering what your thoughts are and if you done some real hunting using that feature? I'd love to confidently step away from my phone app if the tech is ready on these!

Thanks!

They knocked down everything they lazed this year from 450-900 yards. I check it against my Kestrel and they match within a quarter MOA most of the time. Love them!

I think it depends on what it is. I had a spotting scope I sent in to get fixed. It had some of the flock inside come loose and was floating around inside. I wasn't sure if it was the eyepiece or the body. They had to send it to Germany to get fixed. It took about 4 weeks, but they sent me a new eye piece for free (that doesn't really fit the body) and fixed my old one and returned it. I've heard that their scopes and binos are much faster turn around though.

That sure beats my experience! I bought a new HD5 3x15 and it had a seized turret out of the box. I sent it back. 8 months later after I forgot I even owned the scope I got a new one in the mail!. I am up in Canada. I went to the canadian warranty place and they sent it to germany! I love my zeiss and thats the only failure I have ever had.

Really?

Is there anything you can’t break, Ryan?

My RFs are still working great. Glad to hear about the service if I ever have to use it.

The best customer service is the kind you never need. My current Zeiss binoculars have given me flawless performance for 9 years. I had a pair of Zeiss Classic 10x40 which....after many years of use...became somewhat loose in the center pivot and needed a tuneup. Zeiss had them back to me in a couple weeks and they were overhauled. Lenses polished. New eyecups, Center pivot snugged and working smooth. They even gave me a Zeiss case free of charge.

Optics don't stand a chance with me:) Neglect on my end for sure most times. But I do get to test out CS.

I won’t be buying Zeiss after my experiences with Gentec waiting for over a year for replacement eye cups having to call multiple times throughout the year.

Wow, that’s great. I recently had the exact opposite experience with Zeiss. Six month delay, and terrible communication getting my spotting scope fixed.

I’ve had both good and bad with Zeiss.
The good. I slipped and fell on top of my diavari years ago. Bent the eyepiece. Cost me a $100 but was back in about 3 weeks.
The bad I had a scope with bad parallax issues. My local shop sent it back in February. In October scope still not back. Owner of shop tells the salesman to give me a new scope and get their Zeiss rep on the phone he needs to speak with him that his customers deserve better. So it ended up with my local shop taking care of me.

Just received an Email for Zeiss.

"Our goodwill repair ensures to have your product functioning at ZEISS™ performance standards at no cost to you. We anticipate a completion date of 1 - 2 weeks ."

Now we will see how it pans out from here. Right now they are miles ahead of Vortex and KUIU as far as warranties go.

I just had a warranty claim from a Kuiu pack and I would say they made right. Zero complaints about them.
Gentec here in Canada was brutal, it’s solidified I won’t be purchasing Zeiss again or probably any products they are a distributor for.
