My wife and I attending a friend's wedding this past Saturday. Both the groom and bride are bowhunters so I thought they might like matching arm guards. If not, I wrote on the card that they can always use them for drink coasters or dog chew toys.

Both arm guards have a vegetable-tanned cowhide backing. The dark brown leather on the facing is hippo hide and the tan leather is ostrich skin. The maroon leather used for the letters in whitetail deer hide and the olive trim is New Zealand red deer hide. I carved the lace hooks out of deer antler, stained them with aniline dye, and sealed them with polyurethane. I then sewed everything up by hand using artificial sinew and B-50 Dacron. I thought the B-50 was a nice touch.
