Edit: It appears the file size is too large for me to upload it here. Darn

Been waiting to contribute to this thread for a long time! Super excited to finally have taken an animal with my traditional gear!

It took me 3 years to kill a turkey with my recurve and when it finally came together I got it on film!

I also killed a crow. I don't have any pictures but I have a neat video of it!

Had some ups and downs this year with the recurve, but in the end I am pretty satisfied with the results of my first spring/fall using it. Looking forward to next year very much, haven't had this much fun bowhunting in awhile....or the level of disgust :)

Good work Nick. Enjoyed hearing about it on Tundra Talk!

Nick and his spider bites....

Love the pictures and love the feel of a simple bow. Well done my friend!

New here. This is a 238-lb boar I killed in central Texas with my 73#@28 Weathers recurve, shooting 680-grain carbon with a Tuffhead single-blade broadhead. Quartering-away shot from 15 yards; boar went 100 yards, trailing heavy blood with quick recovery.

Michigan fall bear. 9 years for the tag and took it down to the second to last day of the season. 60" 53# Widow SA shooting Gold tip trad blems with woodsman heads. Arrows come in at 590 grains loaded pretty heavy up front. First bear and first post on here. Lots of good info on this site that I'm hoping to put to use this fall out west. Congrats to all the trade bow shooters that have put the time in to master the hard way. Its definitely not a skill you can dust off a couple days before season as you all know. It's a lot of shooting to be proficient let alone good with a stick bow but a skill that I really enjoy working at.
