I've got a few bows, but my go-to is a Toelke Whip one piece, 62" 46@28, my draw is 30.5" so it's up in the mid-50's. Arrows are GT Expedition Hunter 55/75's, full length, footed, with 100gr. brass insert and 260gr. points. My next (and hopefully last bow, ha!) will be another Whip, but a take-down and slightly heavier.

I'm thinking of either a 64" TD Whip or SS from Toelke for my next purchase. How's the draw at 30.5? Any stack? Did you give him a target weight at your draw or buy it from someone else?

I hunt with a bunch of different bows every year. For glass bows I generally go with a Great Northern Ghost (63# at 28) but also have a Bob Lee takedown that I'll try next season. I usually hunt with a sinew backed native American style bow I made or a paleolithic European selfbow that I made - but I have 6 primitive bows that I hunt with on a random basis. Sitka Spruce shafts with magnus or zwickey heads. Managed to tag a pronghorn, whitetail, and coyote this past season.

I am currently using a Bob Lee recurve 51# at 28. I am days away from receiving my Acadian Woods 3 piece longbow. It has been a long time in the making!!!

Scott, holy cow that some serious trad poundage, you're a beast! (grin)

I may draw a lot but I don't draw it very far. Got to make up for the short draw somehow. :)

Seriously, I used to shoot an 80+ compound but shot less than 50lb when I started back to the recurve. Took me about 5 years until I was shooting this weight. Lots of pushups and lots of shooting.

I just got this new Big Stick Assassin that's 62" 60@28, it shoots as good as it looks!

Ah yes Curt.
You will be making my final bow when "She Who Must Be Obeyed" has her MasterList complete...I have been admiring your work for a few years now.

I've bought a bunch of materials from Curt. Standup fella. And stunning bows, knives and nets for sure.

Just recently got a 30lb PSE razorback with some Christmas gift cards and would like to work my way up to a 50lb stalker at some point

Nice! How do you like those limbsations I'm thinking of trying some this year? Do they just stick on?

So far I like them. I just wanted a change from the black glass. They peal and stick then a little trimming down each side with a Havalon blade. You can Google Onestringer Limbsations and see a YouTube video on how to install them.

God Bless.
