man, i loaded this up on my galaxy s6 phone before my colo elk trip and couldn't be happier. SUPER intuitive and easy to use. i tried three different garmin gps units (10, 20 & 64st) and these didn't come close to gaia's ease of use, plus bigger screen on the phone.
entered waypoints at my truck in the various places i hunted, started trips, super easy to see the trails i took and direction needed to get back to my truck if i did a loop or did some bushwacking.
am i missing something, or is this the way to go? didn't try onyx just because reading about some crashes.
on a related note, is there a free gps phone app (non-hunting, no private land etc needed) to throw on my wife's phone that is similarly super easy to use?
