Montana Hunting Company is a big outfitter. They guide all over the state and also are the exclusive outfitter for any of Ted Turner’s ranches. Don’t know much about their mule deer hunting or where you would go but their elk hunting is world class.
As for tags, currently it isn’t a guarantee...
I am pretty lucky to have been raised hunting mule deer in SW Colorado every few years we could draw tags as a non-resident. 5 years ago I moved to Montana and had fun hunting the other species I now had in state taking my first elk, Antelope, and a couple of nice whitetails.

I hunted 12 days in SE Montana this season. There were lots of factors that hurt this season and drought was only one of them. The very mild fall meant the deer didn’t have to move much. We did see some late rutting but most of the does still had small bucks with them.
whitetails on the other...

With the major changes to the season dates starting next year I think we’ll see lots of guys cashing in their points while there are still some good deer to hunt.
Not for me where I hunt. He’s got great front forks and tall in the back but weak G3 on the right and none in the left, plus he’s not real wide. Let him live another year.
We see all types in SW Colorado where I deer hunt. There are locals that just go drive around hoping to catch a glimpse of something to shoot. Then there are the guys with quads and UTVs that like to drive around right when the game should be moving, and even drive into some of the clearings and...
Had a pretty great elk season this year in MT. We had a couple of real close encounters during archery, and then I found this bull bedded at first light on the second day of rifle season. A cow had me made at 400 yards but the bull wasn't alarmed at all. I waited about 5 minutes for him to stand...
