I think you ought to bite the bullet and go with the kodiak. You'll forget about the extra cost after a while and it sounds like you want it the most plus goretex pro is awesome. Or I can sell you my stormfront for a deal so I can get the kodiak ;)
+1 for the tyto knife. That thing is awesome and way easier to clean than the folding knives. I still carry a sturdier knife but never needed it for butchering.
Looking for someone to shoot archery with in the Parker CO area. We can shoot at my place where I have 4 acres or at some of the local ranges. Full Rut Archery has a nice 3D range setup that I plan on hitting up too but it would be a lot more fun with a buddy. Let me know if you're...
Thats a great deal! The Zions and the 2017 Sitka Ascents are pretty close to the same thickness in fabric. The 2016 and older Ascents are a bit thicker than the Zions.
Has anyone had the opportunity to use the new Kelvin Active Jacket much? I like the idea of having that as a replacement for a fleece layer that is a little more technical, warmer and packs smaller. Went down to Cabelas today to see it in person and it seems nice but I'm a little worried about...
Hmm, this makes me realize that I probably had the same issue as you. I have a 26" ultralight frame and trained and hunted with it this year carrying up to 60-95 lbs consistently and fairly comfortably. I decided that the 26" was a little taller than I wanted after catching it often on...
Still showing up in the splash page but not when you click on them. Must have been a really limited quantity.
When gritty bowmen podcasted with them recently they said they were coming out with some new stuff soon.
I leave mine for sure and use it as a stand alone pack quite often. A lot of times I'll use it as a day hunting pack if I'm not going too far away from camp understanding that I'll need to go get my actual pack if I get something down. If cutting the straps off saved me a lb then maybe I'd...
I just got a 22 mag over the woodsman for a daypack and think I'm going to be really happy with it. Between the side pouches, internal pockets, integrated top pocket and molle on the front to add more pockets if needed I don't see why the woodsman would be better. The load shelf on the woodsman...
They're just like anything else that we buy that's over priced, probably not needed as other things will work just fine but you just want it for some reason. I do think the smaller sizes can be worth it though. The 35 makes a great car cooler to keep some cold drinks for the kids all summer...
