The last two years I killed a moose in heavily hunted areas, one had about 4 camps within a mile. It’s really about just seeing them and be willing to go where others arnt. You’ll pay the man when it comes to packing though.

check out the east side mount st. Helans, Walk in only. Keeps 90 percent of the hunters out. another decent area is stampeed pass, watch out for the tacoma water shed area, thats a no hunt area

Spine variances when shafts are cut short.

I agree with the above comments. You can be a little over stiff on the spine but you dont want to be under spined. One thing that helped me when i was getting false center shot reading paper tuning was making sure the cam lean has been tuned out at FULL DRAW. Its done by yoke tuning. Other wise...
