Check out robson valley outfitters, Dan is an awesome guy. Www.mountainhunt.com it’d be about 8 hours from the border to get up to here.

I live a little ways north east of Williams lake and I will reiterate what people are saying about your rain gear, ultra light is not the way to go anywhere in the interior of B.C. I use a first lite SEAK jacket and I pair it with a heavyweight Dakota set of bib bottoms made of Cordura with a...

Just a couple updates and a big wolf track, I’ve been using my pack for the past two months basically every day in the bush and I can say with out a doubt the kifaru platform was definitely worth building on. I’ve also started to use the bladder system between frame and bag for my water and...
Hoffman boot company, they have meindl safety toe and if you are so inclined they also caulk them. Lots of fallers in BC use them from Hoffman and nobody I know of complains

Got a little bored today so decided to use an old cruising vest to make a new heavy hauler vest/pack. It’s not new looking by any means but I can’t think of a better way to keep myself used to my hunting pack year round. All I need now is to either make or buy a smaller bag as the reckoning...
Deuter kid comfort 2 mounted on a hunter frame, I wouldn’t recommend using the frames for anything other then what the manufacturer stated of course though.

I’ve used both the xcurve and duplex and for me the xcurve belt gave me really bad blisters when my pack was over 60lbs and the kifaru belt I haven’t had that problem, I liked my 6900 bag way better than my reckoning but I personally like the kifaru frame and the way it fits me way better then...
Interior coast mountains, get the best rain gear you can afford and probably a synthetic down jacket will be the way to go. Merino is great as a base layer but something you’ll see a ton of us BC outdoorsmen wear is the standard grey stanfield wool sweater over top of a base layer.

Thanks bakyrd831 for smooth trade, always a little apprehensive sending over international borders but again the hunting community is 99% awesome honest people. His kifaru hunter with a reckoning bag were exactly as advertised.
