I’m working up a 44 special load for a Henry lever gun suppressed.

205 g jack hammer bullet
That charge gets is right around 1,050 fps.
I haven’t shoot any deer with it yet. Plan to spend more time on load development.

Brief update on results from my season. I’ve shot 7 white tails so far this season. 5 doe and 2 buck (230# and 190#). Solid results from my 18” 7mm-08 with the 131 gr hunter hammer bullets. 6 out of the 7 deer dropped in their tracks.
I’ve loaded up some of the hammer hunters in 131 grain.
Ladder work up came out to 46.2 grains of varget. SD 2 and averaged 2,912 on velocity. This is out of a 18” proof barrel.
Spent time today building out the load ladder.
Started at 44 grains of varget and stopped at 47 grains.

47 grains was the fastest. 2,980. But SD was at 13. No pressure signs.
