2015 ELK Photo Contest

Ryan, thank you for the opportunity to be a part of this contest. There were a lot of great pictures and guys with great success stories. I also want to thank your kids for making their choices. I have tried to send a couple of messages to you, but am using a cell phone and don't know if it's...

    Once in lifetime bull

Haha yeah his face stayed like that for almost every picture. I have been around a lot of people who go through "shock" and he definitely was in shock. The best was when he saw what the "beast" green scored. He kept telling himself prior to it having a tape put on it, that it wasn't that big.

    Once in lifetime bull

Thanks everyone for the "congratulations". It truly was an experience we will never forget. It is a caliber of bull that any bow hunter would dream about and to be able to take a bull of that caliber in an area that is not a trophy area or special permit area makes it even that much better.

Thank you all for the compliments. I felt blessed to be able to be there for my longtime friend and hunting partner. This was another one of those moments that I wish I had a better camera than just my iPhone LOL

I started hunting with Boyd eleven years ago and he continues to push me harder than anyone I have ever hunted with. He is...

    Once in lifetime bull

It was kinda funny. I could only find one or two pictures where he was smiling. He truly was in shock. I posted a short write up in the photo contest. I will write up the full story hopefully tonight.

[/IMG][/IMG][/IMG] This is the twentieth elk for my friend. I was lucky enough to have had the honor to be the caller on the day of this harvest. My friend truly earned this bull on public back country hunting. The picture with both of us in it shows the shock he was in and...
