Opening day of muzzleloader in Colorado was a success! I couldn’t have had a better time. Wasn’t hearing any bugles, so I decided to sit watching a meadow for the evening. Came out at 160 yards 5 minutes before shooting light ended, and fed his way straight to me for a 40 yard shot. I watched...
In particular, I was looking at the 37, 371, 28, and 181. There’s some BLM ground in there and easy tags to get, so I was wondering if they’d be worth chasing while up there for elk

Planning for next years hunts and have been interested in possibly hunting west of Denver within some of the units between the mountains. Anyone have experience with some of these and would be willing to answer a few questions?

Went alone one year without an inreach. Shot a bull opening day, so my 6 day trip was only 2 days. Even with it being that short, wife said she freaked out the whole time I was gone and I would never go without one again. Lol

Drew a leftover tag here. Anyone have much luck in these units? Or tips/tricks/contacts that could be helpful? Thanks in advance.
