    Utah Question

I believe any remaining general buck deer permits go on sale in July around the time that general elk permits do. It has become harder and harder to obtain a good general season deer tag over the years. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    UT Muzzleoader elk options

Thanks! I'd definitely welcome any help scouting. I hunt the unit somewhat regularly for deer as it's practically my back yard but I'm just not too familiar with elk and their habits in general. I also have a bunch of trail cams I plan on setting up as well. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    UT Muzzleoader elk options

I was thinking South cache as well, but the success rates don't seem as high as other units but I'd have plenty of scouting opportunity. Is a 330+ bull too much to ask for on the South Cache unit? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    UT Muzzleoader elk options

Ah I see. I live in Cache county. Would you say Dutton is a higher quality hunt than Nebo? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    UT Muzzleoader elk options

Last year it looks like the Dutton odds were better than Nebo. Am I wrong? Wasatch looks decent as well and it wouldn't be as far of a trip so that's a plus. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    UT Muzzleoader elk options

I have 9 bonus points for elk in Utah as a resident. I was thinking Dutton would be a good unit to apply for but I'm open to other suggestions. I've never killed a bull and I'd like a good opportunity to kill something nice. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

    Any northern UT backpack hunters?

Cache archery deer, moose (cache or north slope), unit 73 rifle deer in Idaho, and I'm still deciding on which limited entry elk unit to put in for in Utah, but it will be rifle. If I don't draw moose or elk, I'll likely get a general muzzleloader or archery bull permit. Sent from my Nexus 5...

    Any northern UT backpack hunters?

I'm doing archery and rifle hunts for deer and possibly elk in both Utah and Idaho next year. I'll do general hunts if I don't draw the tags I want. Still trying to harvest my first animal with a bow as well. If anyone wants to scout and hunt let me know if you'd be interested. I try to get in...

    Salomon gtx 2 at Amazon

I used these boots this season and they are very comfortable on my feet. They also seem very tough for the $145 I paid for them in the summer. I got a half size bigger than my normal size. I would say they're worth the price. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

On x maps and Utah extended archery

For those interested I figured it out with the phone app. I'm a dork. You can go to "my layers", click on Utah WMUs, then click on "sub layers", and then from the list you can select all species, as well as extended archery deer and elk units. Thanks for all your earlier suggestions! Lehi P...

On x maps and Utah extended archery

I'm aware that the Utah f&g website has the boundary maps but I want to be able to see them on my GPS app. This makes it much easier to know where you're at in proximity to the boundaries as well as public and private land. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
