    Coastal wolves

    Anyone hunt coastals especially North Vancouver island? Any tactic advice specific to coastal wolves (ie time of activity near the beaches etc)? Thinking of doing a combo BB/coastal hunt end of May and while I have done island BB have never tried to target coastal wolves.

    9MM ammo for bears defense?

    For what it’s worth- I once defence shot a black with a 147 grain 9 organ region when it got up after being hit by a truck quicker then expected. It didn’t like it. Bear went to tree and earned a 308 headshot. I would be shocked to see the same reaction from a G bear though.

    Queen Charlotte islands/Haida Gwaii BC. Giant black bears. Almost equivalent of the kodiak area for brown bears. Only lottery restricted BC black bear hunt. 4 tags a year. Anyone see signs of G bear in ‘em? I find the almost hump interesting.
