Looking at burning my points in the next few years, I have max points in Wyoming and 24 in Colorado! I’m an archery hunter and want a fun hunt that I will have a chance at a few nice bucks (180-200”).

Have kicked around a 4th season tag in Colorado but using my bow.....5 days go quick with a weapon that you have to be inside 50 yards though!

What would you do???

I have points for elk, antelope, and a moose so I will try to hunt one animal a year for the next several years!

scout my butt off in several 3rd season and high country rifle units, then apply the next year. Or go 4th season in a unit that isn't too dependent on migration and arrive about middle of 3rd season to start scouting.

I wouldn't gamble 24 points on a bow tag if you really want a 180-200" buck. The high point bow units only have a few more big bow bucks on the mountains and better access than lower point units. Huge gamble with a bow.
