Hey Elk hunters what do you prefer or do if you had the choice? OTC Either sex archery Aug 30-Sept 30, or OTC Rifle Antlered only Oct. 15- Nov 3/8 depending on zone. Both on Public Land mostly roadless backcountry. Advantages to both what are your thoughts? -

I'll be completely honest. The IDFG should raise license and tag fees exponentially on non-resident hunters. These guys come here because we have general hunts and their state is ruined by either bonus points or some sort of shortened or antlered restricted season. I kind of feel bad for them... -

Idaho mule deer in September
I wouldnt count on deer being way up high during that time in Idaho. In my neck of the woods I believe due to soil type and vegetation composition that most of the deer I hunt are living down lower. -
