I haven’t had either out in mild temps.
The uninsulated I’ve worn in August and early September. They were fine with no cold temps and I didn’t feel overheated.
The 400’s I’ve worn in snowy cold 38-40 and down to low teens. Feet were cold sitting glassing and standing on snow. Fine moving...
I have the same size in both uninsulated and the 400’s. I’m a 12.5 in my running shoes and a 13 in these. I like a lil extra toe room.

Tikka .308, 6x SWFA, Mathew’s Fab riser, YoDave spring, Vert. grip. Shooting 165gr AB’s. Will hand load once my factory supply runs out. Mostly a one gun b/c of costs and with a busy family I like to dedicate any range time to one rifle and load to practice. This is for antelope, deer, and elk...

I’m getting a piece of a rear AC line brazed in on my 97 Burb b/c my shop can’t source the part, or at least in a timely manner. I try and do most stuff myself, but certain things I don’t. And then I’m increasingly more busy.

All of this is spot on. I will say that with my bony heels (especially my right heel) my Hoffman explorers seem to offer a deeper heel pocket then some others I tried (Kene’s, Crispi’s, Hanwag’s, etc). I’m also a Solomon man.

Astigmatism here and use a prism sight. But I’ve heard some of the more expensive red dots are better at not starbursting for our eyes. I don’t recall 100% when looked thru an aimpoint, but I didn’t think there was a problem.

Didn’t see too low of temps, maybe mid 20’s. Bag was warm and I could sleep in any position I wanted. Had a stove and I never woke up cold to need to stoke.
