    CZ 527 barreled action weight.

Yeah I actually already have one in 300 blackout. It's a fine gun I'm just wanting something smaller and lighter.

    CZ 527 barreled action weight.

I'm using 110 grain hornady v max with 23 grains of CFE black which is very compressed in my repurposed military 5.56 cases and I'm getting 2114 fps . I'm sure you could drop a little more powder in a standard case

    CZ 527 barreled action weight.

Of course it's also not lost on me that I already own a model 94 Winchester trapper in 30-30, which is already good out to 200 yards on most any game in North America, weighs less than six pounds, and can be hand loaded for dirt cheap. But hey, the heart wants what the heart wants :)

    CZ 527 barreled action weight.

I did play with the idea of doing an AR pistol in 300 blackout. I would get most of the velocity and it would be screaming light. But ARs just don't do it for me. I do already load for 300 BO though. I have the ruger American version. Which I like and it shoots good it's just a heavy bulky...

    CZ 527 barreled action weight.

Ooo I didn't know kimber made the Adirondack in 300 blackout. That could be a possibility. The only reason I have been looking at the CZ is because it's controlled round feed (which I like if I can get it) plus the action just seems a little more svelte than the Howa mini but I have never been...

    CZ 527 barreled action weight.

Hey all I need some help. I'm trying to figure out which is lighter a barreled action from a CZ 527 or a Howa mini action. Does anyone have a CZ 527 that they would mind weighing just the barreled action and magazine for me? (Any model or caliber will work, I can extrapolate from there) I can't...

Any reload recommendations for a Kimber Hunter .308?

Im using 165g scirroccos with 47.5 g of CFE 223 out of my 308 and still getting 2708 fps out of a 16 inch barrel with no pressure signs. I'm sure you would be getting 2850-2900 out of a kimber barrel with that load. as a matter of fact you could probably step that charge up a little bit and be...

Now I may not buy anything!(Or maybe I'll buy a CA Mesa?)

I think browning makes a great gun but I have not been a fan of the Hells Canyon. Someone in my family got one in 6.5 creedmoor and it wasnt shooting (close to 2 inch groups with everything we put through it). Upon closer inspection the stock was not free floated enough to keep from touching...

    Firstlite Obsidian Review *Updated 1/9*

A note from my experience with them. If you are short and round like I am and on the fence in sizing between the large and XL size, go with the Large. I bought the XLs when they had them on sale before Christmas because I was on the upper edge of the large size, and unfortunatly they were huge...

New custom built ultra light that anyone can do.

An update on the project rifle, Luke you and my father were right with the MR-2000 recomendation I got some really good groups and velocities with 150g triple shocks but at the last minute I decided I would rather shoot 165s through it so this was the best group I got out 165 triple shocks...

Uberlight Kimber Rifle Build, by Luke Moffat

I had been waiting for this write up. Your gun came out great! and its the first time I have actually seen one of the MPI microlite stocks in the wild. I have been putting off trying one because I figured once it was done it would be around a pound anyway 12 ounces is AMAZING! I have a kimber...

New custom built ultra light that anyone can do.

I will. It just so happens my father has been really pushing me to try 2000 Mr in it. He has some AMAZING loads for his kimbers using that stuff. Plus it's temperature stable isn't it? CFE is very temperature sensitive. I have had really good luck with it. But I have noticed temperature can...

New custom built ultra light that anyone can do.

I'm pretty sure I can get the group size down. So far I have only tested one bullet and one powder with a hand full of seating depths. So I still have a lot of work to do before I can truly comment on accuracy. It does seem to be very consistent with what I have shot though. Like I said though...

New custom built ultra light that anyone can do.

Hey all, I wanted to share my latest project with you guys. I wanted to build my dream rifle, no corners cut , like most of my builds go. The best thing about this build is that anyone can do it, no gunsmithing experience needed. Just a reasonable knowledge of how guns work will get you by...

    Aftermarket stock for kimber hunter

Is that true ?? last time I called MPI I was quoted almost 600 bucks for a micro lite stock and that was for a blank, I would have to bed, paint, add buttpad and sling studs. I really want to try a micro lite stock but when oregon gunsmithing will make a 1 "poundish" stock and do all the work...

    Savage lightweight hunter -thoughts?

Yes it is the original stock. I cut 4 inches out of the middle of the forearm and epoxied it back together. I sanded it down for a slimmer profile. I cut 1/2 inch out of the buttstock and replaced the ridiculous buttpad with one I made out of a flip flop,(which performs way better and is 4 oz...

    Savage lightweight hunter -thoughts?

I really like mine. I did some modifications to mine. Straight out of the box it wasnt stellar accuracy, not bad just not great. Shortening the barrel to 17 inches helped the accuracy. I now shoot 1 MOA groups using 120gr triple shocks and superformance powder and best of all I have a 6 pound...

    Proof Research Switch Rifle

the only thing this has over a savage or a remington with a remage nut is that it is really easy to swap bolt faces. other than that you could do this with a 400 dollar rifle instead of a 4 thousand dollar one. it is a Proof though so Im sure it's good. Desk Jockey made a good point about...

    Does this rifle exist?

considering your criteria, if it were me I would be looking into "legendary arms " rifles. they are cheap enough not to totally break the bank and custom enough have had a really good reputation for accuracy, and settle right into your weight range. (their action design is awesome) also...
