For us we got lucky and hit it dry (which was great because my rig broke down in Kansas and we had to get a rental).
We were able to go in and out 11 days later with it dry. All the trucks at the end of the road when we got there had chains on from a few days earlier.

I had it loaded on 3 devices this year and didn't have any issues. I will say I had a freak out moment the night before our ascend and the wifi went down at the hotel and I had waited until the last minute to load maps.... a few reboots and a wireless hotspot later we got it done.... otherwise...
Garmin has had a breach apparently. My watch hasn't synced up all week. I just get a message that they are restoring the servers. Calling spot mag be the way to go

Good advice here. I opted for an ortho in my area who was well known for fixing people after unsuccessful surgeries. A family friend that is a retired neuro and lawyer recommended....

It's more about changing the way I do things. I work a deal job but also have a farm. I haul hay, build fence and do whatever I need to. I made choices to stop wakeboarding and doing stuff like that. If I push it too much my back let's me know. I stay decently fit for 47 and that helps a ton...

I ended up using an Orthopedic that specialized in repairing botched back surgeries rather than opting for the neurosurgeon that I first spoke...
I've been through a lot of the same. Finally broke down and had my L5 S1 discetomy in 09. I took my PT very seriously and 12 weeks later I was elk hunting in Colorado. I do about everything I want to do but I know my limits and trying operate within those. I elk hunt every year now. I walk a ton...
I went with the Cascades in carbon with cork handles. I've been pleased.

You need to take heed of elknuts advice for sure. I advised my buddie to start with something without a dome or plate type call until he can make some sounds.
X2 on the elknut app. I still use it often as a reference or sounding board
I use a variety of different calls and backups for my...
The old Weller 12 is my favorite, it's basically a unicorn now. For over $30 Blanton's is a favorite and I had a KY Spirit store pic recently that was great. For under $30 I like Woodford , makers 46.
